Jen & Blake: The Foundation For The Carolinas Wedding

I’ve known Jen for twelve years. Which seems insane to me. We were college roommates at Wake Forest and sorority sisters. There were many late nights, uncountable trips to Golden Corral (breakfast, break, lunch, nap) and innumerable cocktails. The stories we could share about each other are equal parts incredible and totally embarrassing. But suffice it to say, we laughed a lot, took care of each other and It was such an amazing time in my life, probably one of the best, and I have so many of those good memories attributed to Jen. Then we graduated, moved to new cities and started our lives as real people. It’s been almost ten years since I’ve seen her, but when I got her email that she was engaged, we picked right up where we left off!
.
Jen and Blake got married after ten years together. Ten years! They met in college and moved to Charlotte together after graduation. They are hysterical, they are kind and they are so happy together. They haven’t changed from the two amazing people that I knew ten years ago and I am so happy to reconnect with both of their lovely faces.
.
Since they’ve now claimed Charlotte as their home, the wedding was held at
The Foundation For The Carolinas in downtown Charlotte. This area is so incredible and has changed so much from my last visit, umm, 1990, when my family moved down to the coast. It was the perfect backdrop! And their vendors… I don’t think I’ve EVER been taken such good care of by a vendor team. Thank you so much
I Do Wedding Consulting and
Queen City Catering. If southern hospitality could just become world hospitality, the world would be a better place! Another sorority sister,
Lily Greenthumb, handled all of the florals and they were absolutely stunning!
.
Jen & Blake – It was so amazing to see you take this next step in your relationship. I am so honored to have documented it all for you and so thrilled for you both. It was such a lovely day! I wish you both nothing but the best and most incredible life together. So many congratulations!
