I was THRILLED to shoot this engagement session. Because I am beyond excited for this wedding. A few months ago I met with Stephanie, her mother and her sister. We sat in their kitchen and just chatted. The three of them have a warm and welcoming feeling that I haven’t really felt since I left North Carolina. Almost a Southern hospitality. And I adored them. They hired me on the spot and I’ve been giggly excited for the wedding.
Stephanie and Guy are getting married in her parents backyard. Seriously, one of the most beautiful backyards I’ve ever seen. I could take naps in the fluffy grass. All day long naps. The tennis court will be tented and draped and their beautiful backyard will be transformed into a bling encrusted affair! For real, this is a seriously crafty team of ladies!
So, when Stephanie decided to shoot at the house, I was ecstatic. So unique and special as the place she grew up and the place she will start a new branch of the family tree. And I adore when my couples choose such special places… places that are uniquely theirs.
Stephanie and Guy were incredible in front of my camera. So calm and relaxed. So willing to do everything I asked, but more importantly, so willing to just BE together. To relax and allow me to capture them as they were, not as I told them to be. Thanks guys!

After snapping this one, I ran over to show them. I absolutely LOVE it! This is straight out of the camera, with just a tad bit of sharpening.
