I’m not really a techie person.  I thank God every day for Chris, for a lot of reasons, but one of the big ones is his techiness.  Because I can’t do it.  Phones, computers, DVD players… I’m lost.  Utterly and completely lost. 

But with the iPhone, I felt at ease.  We had a great relationship.  Always there for me.  And when it was feeling down, so easy to fix.  Most of the time it was my fault anyway… thinking too hard about how to make it work, when really, I was looking too hard for the hard way.  My iPhone was too simple.  And I loved it.

And then Hawaii happened.

Tanning oil happened. Not bad for you tanning oil.  The kind with SPF 30 that magically makes my Irish skin turn brown instead of red.  Well, brown might be an overstatement… how about beige.  Yes, beige.

I may have worked with the super fancy screen for a while.  It kind of made everything three dimensional.  Kind of tie dye retro, no?  But it leaked in through the speaker.  So, it sounded like I was talking to Charlie Brown’s teachers.  And really, that’s not a good sound.

Chris wants to do a little surgery on it.  New screen, new speakers… a brand new phone!  I think it’s only because he’s super jealous of my new, super quick, super sleek, super sexy iPhone
