It’s so easy to get all caught up in the hoopla of a wedding. I mean, I loved the details and the months and months of planning, I really did! But deep at the core, a wedding is the beginning of a marriage and I think that can often get overlooked. That’s why I love elopements so much. It’s the wedding day with all the stress, all the details and all the hoopla removed to leave only the absolutely most important part… two people, their love for one another and perhaps a few close family members.
Kerry & James did just that at the Santa Barabara Courthouse last week. Two people, so absolutely head-over-heels in love with each others (seriously, you could feel it!) and their five incredibly well-behaved and amazing children. They drove in from Utah to tie the knot at one of the most beautiful courthouses I’ve ever seen. We walked the grounds, found a perfect little corner for an intimate little ceremony and, after four years together, Kerry & James were married. It was so perfect and I am so happy to have been there to document it all!
Kerry, James, Julia, Kayla, Taylor, Olivia & Jaxson – Watching your family become one was so beautiful, and I feel honored to have been a little part of it. So many congratulations on the beginning of this new journey together… I hope it’s full of fun, love & lots of laughter!
