He proposed to her, wearing a trench coat and holding a boom box over his head. A la Say Anything. They met working in television and are huge movie buffs.  So, it was a perfect proposal.  That lead to a perfect wedding.  Seriously, the most perfect wedding day any of us could have asked for.  The weather was gorgeous.  The timeline followed impeccable.  The company perfection.  It was a smooth day, punctuated with beautiful smiles and stolen glances.

I met Karina when we shot a boudoir session for Wassims wedding gift.  When I met with the two of them the next week to discuss their wedding photography I had to pretend that I had never met Karina, that I knew nothing about them, that I’d never been to their house and that I was learning all about their wedding for the first time!  I picked each one of my words very carefully, afraid that I was going to give it all away!  When I saw Wassim for the first time on their wedding day, his first words to me were "liar!" with that super adorable smirk .  I think he was pretty happy with our little lie!

I’m not sure how it happens.  That every week I fall more and more in love with my job.  On our way home from Santa Barbara, Chris looked at me and asked how each family could be more amazing than the family before.  How each couple could feel more like good friends than the couple before.  I’m so insanely happy to know Karina & Wassim.  Giddy that our paths have crossed and I was there to document such an amazing day for them.

Karina & Wassim were married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and celebrated at The Arts & Letters Cafe. The absolute smoothness of the day was totally credited to how amazingly organized Karina was (my file for this wedding was 12 times larger than the others!) and her super amazing coordinator Debbie Hews with Chic Events.  Thank you thank you thank you for making my job a dream!

Karina & Wassim – You two are absolute perfection and I’m so happy that you chose me.  We are so thankful to have been a part of your perfect day.  Watching the two of you, in your sheer happiness, makes me fall more in love with my husband.  And I couldn’t be more thankful for that!  Congratulations!
