It’s raining in SoCal.  All the time.  And when it’s not raining, it’s just plain cold.  Stupid cold.  I’m rescheduling shoots left and right and am getting cabin fever!  This shoot was nearly rained out too, but we decided to preserve and see what might happen.  I prepared for rain, thinking that it would at least make for some AHHHmazing shots.  Cold, but AHHHmazing. I thought ahead and called Samy’s to see if I might be able to rent some waterproof casing for my camera.  I hear that it’s bad news when you drench equipment   Alas, no waterproofing there, but he mentioned that I should wrap the entire thing with Saran Wrap for protection.  High-tech, eh?

So, I make my way to Malibu with shorts, pants, galoshes, sweaters, scarves, equipment, umbrellas, towels and Saran Wrap.  I wasn’t sure what we would need! But it was a BEAUTIFUL day!  Really, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.  We could have asked for a warmer day, but I was just thinking about the rain really… didn’t want to ask too much! 

K made my job super super easy.  She knew what I wanted before I asked, she moved like she’d been doing this for years and she made me laugh.  We laughed a lot.  And she also brought me chocolate.  One bar because it was a Hazelnut Chocolate Bar and two other bars, just because.  Those are my favorites.  The just because presents

So we shot and laughed and chatted, sneaking glimpses into each others’ lives.  And we froze.  Seriously.  I wasn’t sure until a few hours after I’d headed down the PCH if all 10 of my toes would make it.  But they’ve all thawed and we’re good to go!
