I am a firm believer in goals. Goals and plans for reaching them. If you’re just taking what comes to you you’re likely not reaching your full potential. If you know where you want to be and how you’re going to get there, odds are, you’re going to do it. Well, the theory works for me. I’m a bit of a stubborn determined individual. It’s what I do. I set a goal and I will work my butt off until I’ve reached it. It’s just how I do.
And as a bit of motivation for the days when I’m just too tired to do some goal reaching, I remind myself of the reward I’m going to give myself. Could be that slice of cake at the end of an hour on the treadmill or the manicure I’ll go get at the end of days spent in the garden killing growing new plants. As much as I love goals, I’m an even bigger fan of rewards.
I’ve implemented lots of goals and rewards in my business too. I know where I want to go and I think I’ve got a pretty nice plan to get there. The little goals get little rewards and the big goals get big rewards. And recently, I’ve completed one of my big goals. A goal I put into place just as my little business was growing from a seed to a little tiny twig with some teeny green leaves. I kind of never thought I’d get there… but it was a good goal and always in the back of my mind.
So, big goal, big reward. Meet the newest addition to my shoe collection.
Dearest Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Pumps, you are my absolute favoritest piece of stunning leather in the entire world. I promise to take you out on the town until I can no longer fit my old lady feet in you. As I figure it, we’ve got a good 80 years left in us!
