I live in Toluca Woods. It’s the made-up area of North Hollywood to sound fancier than North Hollywood. Anyway, on Saturday, it was beautiful and sunny and gorgeous. I spent the morning lounging around outside and was so excited to head to Santa Monica for an engagement session with Danielle and Jerry. But as we drove past The Skirball Center, and the mountains opened up to the sky, it was blah. Grey, and ick, and plain blah. Then sun decided to stick to the valley and a grumpy rain cloud sat on top of Santa Monica. And it was freezing!
And the shoot played out perfectly! Danielle & Jerry really wanted to focus on night shots, so our night came much earlier than any of us expected! We toured the Santa Monica pier, the beach and the surrounding area. Chris and I got the opportunity to try lots of different things as we were working with off camera flash as our sole light source. It’s a super different shoot for me, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Danielle & Jerry - we are SUPER excited for your wedding in June!
