Danielle & Ben: The Wedding

I knew that Danielle, Ben & I were a perfect match from the day I met them.  They thought Pinkberry would be the best place to chat.  They made me laugh.  Hysterically.  They spent most of our meeting making googly eyes at each other.  And when they booked me, they sent along some soap.  Because the design on the packaging reminded them of my logo.   How adorable!?

But I also knew they were a perfect match for each other from the day I met them.  They laugh together.  Hysterically.  They take care of each other.  And they have a love that you can actually see.  It’s incredibly beautiful.

Their wedding at the Figueroa Hotel in Downtown LA was absolute perfection.  There was ice cream, laughter and so many googly eyes.  Likely one of the most dangerous weddings I’ve ever shot, between the open flames at the ceremony and the unfortunately placed swimming pool in the EXACT spot that I wanted to shot the family formals.  Danielle spent so much time and effort on all of the little details… my kind of girl!  Everything fell into place so perfectly, and I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to shoot such a beautiful day!

Danielle & Ben – Thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding day.  You orchestrated the most perfect day and we felt so incredibly welcomed by you, your family and your friends.  Chris and I had sooo much fun and couldn’t be happier for the two of you.  Congratulations!

Chris met up with the boys, while I hung out with the ladies.  Ben is from Texas, and Danielle demanded that his father where a large hat!

Kerim from My Wedding Blooms does the MOST incredible work.  I could shoot his bouquets all.day.long.

Practicing the putting on of the ring…

I was OBSESSED with her Pronovias dress.  It.was.stunning!

The first look.

I can’t say enough about the first look.  I definitely think it’s a totally personal decision, but the flexibility it gives in photography time, the relaxation it gives, the immense amount of time we have… I was in heaven!

Thank you thank you thank you to Susie Chhuor for making Danielle look beyond amazing!

Chris caught this shot while I was shooting the one above.  I adore it.

Her dress had thirteen ties.  And they were all over the place!  I think it was the longest time I’ve ever seen to bustle a dress!

I loved this part… there was a hand washing experience at the table.

The toasts…

These photos now make Los Angeles the STILL PICTURE capital of the World. The pictures bring back the glamorous era of movie magazines and romantic venues long since replaced with the sometime sterile reality of today’s ethos. WELL DONE!

Such a beautiful wedding! I love how each bridesmaids dress matches a color of a flower in the brides bouquet. You did such a great job capturing their day. Well don!!

Jordana, you are amazing at what you do!!! If you could take shots of my Bouquets all day long, I could make Bouquets for you all day long too…
What Danielle asked from me to materialize on the flowers, you and Chris captured exceptionally, thank you.
I am looking forward to the next time we get to work together.
